I have completely stripped down my mxz body except for the track. I have taken the chaincase off already, all I have to do to get it off is to take the 3 bolts in the clutch side off? Also, what is a good stud pattern for the mxzs? I was thinking of 96 down the middle for a 1 inch camoplast 9793 track. It has 1/2 inch stud protectors on there, how big can I go?

1.15 down the middle, don't stud the very center.

Ok, i`ll look for a stud kit, maybe woodys gold. Should I make any changes in the gearing? I was going to get the heads cut and some crankshop twins and up my mains. Can a xc5 45th gears fit on there, I havent had the time to mess with our 600`s gearing. I will go and check on mine real quick.

Dont waste time with twin pipes, you have enough problems as is and they will take a lot of tuning to get them to even run right. Xc's use a hyvo chain and gears, wont interchange with ski-doos. Just get a different type of head, one with a hemi head, doos are a crappy design. Part that pos out and fix up that polaris. More reliable, simple and not much wrong with it.

That polaris burntup, he smashed the piston in half! Both cylinders need replacing and the heads as well. Probably the crank as well.

Its stupid beyond belief that you still would even want to dump more money into your mxz that can't even make it more then 50 miles with out being towed home, i would set the money aside instead of buying pipes to keep it for future use to keep it together. You'd think after spending 10 thou and counting on it it would stay together and be a bad ass sled? which it should but its not, its beat beyond repair. Part out that ski doo and use the money to fix that polaris, your just going to keep spending money on it and having problems like i said before you bought it. I'm just trying to save you more head aches and money it will be better in the long run.
