Does anyone have an ap-valve from an '01 or '02 500 they can part with?

I have a concept I am working on to eliminate the valve to piston contact on these motors and I need a valve to work with. I don't care what shape it is in. Let me know.

Do you have any more info? Like part numbers? When did they come out with the update?

if you go to brownsleisure.com you will find it, it superseeds the old part number there like 20-25 bucks apeice

keep looking for a valve, i've installed some of these up-dated retainers, they're equivalent to aspirin for cancer(the're still gonna do the same thing, just take a "little"longer, not much though)as the same sled had already had 1 cyl done the year before, and it was nearly happening again! :augen41:

I just used a grinder to clearance the valve.

remove valve from cable.

I dusted the face of the valve lightly with the grinder to make it shiny

and used a black marker to cover the bare metal

Install the valve in its port and turn engine over by hand

any contact will remove the marker
