Anyone else have any problems with their Venture bottoming out too much with 2 people?
I have the shock and settings turned all the way up and still have the issue.
Yes, I do have the block set to 2-up.
Thanks.

Myself, wife and son total weight is360 lbs and we all ride Venture with front shock on lightest, transfer rods on 3rd line from bottom, triangle blocks on med and two up blocks up.Rides just right with light bottoming on sharp bumps.Thats going easy with a 6 year old on board.I had 2 Polaris two ups with very early(second season) coil spring failures.Maybe have them checked out. Also check for a coil spring that may be cracked in the coils where you wouldn't see it.Thats all I got. Good luck!

You are not alone, almost all dual riders on rsventure experience bottoming problem. To realise what is going wrong, just measure how long rear suspention travel it left ( measure between the coil springs and rubber bump on rail) when you and your partner are on the sled with all gears.
The total travel avaliable is near 8" , that is mean that the confort zone should be around 5"-5.5" (5.5" down and 2.5" up). Don't be susprised to get measurement as low as 3.5- 4" !!!!! In my case with all to the stiffness setting and less than 300lbs for me and my partner, i was getting around 4" and lower as the season go on.
After many complain of me and others to yamaha, they finish in february to accept to install me cargo coils (parts 8ET-47474-10-00 and 8ET-47473-10-00) on warranty. It raise the rear end between 4.5 and 5", should be better but enough to give an acceptable ride .
Adding to this, you had propably already realise that it was bottoming especially when you hit the lower portion of a slope with the gaz on... just take the habit to just let the gaz a little bit at this point to make the front end absorb more the impact and re-skeeze the flipper after... you partner back will thank you :beerchug:
