I have a 2004 700 Touring sled. Track is 136". I am looking to pick up some power in this thing. I am getting blown away by the 600's. It is mainly rode as a one up but occassionally take the kids. I have only jetted down(one size) and added studs. Hooks up great, just not enough power. Thanks in advance.

indyheads head mod is a claimed 5-7 hp. other than that everyone says clutching is terrible in stock form, so there are gains to be had.

clutching is the # 1 thing you can do to pick up speed! Your 2 up sled is already geared down some ......your sled should have like a 1.85: 1 gear set in it most of us running XC / Pro x sleds are running a round a 1.70: 1 gear set , this lets us still run high speeds (110 mpg) but quicker out of the gate. I would try going up 2 oz on the primary weights and a differnt helix , something like a 66 44.46. It may like more load then what I have stated just because of running a higher gear ratio....

Would a changing of the gearing make a big difference? I am not looking for a ton of top speed, it will make it to 100 right now, but I am looking for more low end grunt and quick to that 100. I do strickly trail riding. Thanks!
