This year I purchased my first Yamaha. I have owned 10 Polaris's, 4 Arctic Cats, 3 Ski-Doo's, and until this year, never owned a Yamaha. This past week the wife and I, along with the Snow News Radio Network crew took our annual trip to the Rockies. The Yamaha Venture RS ran excellent. It was fantastic riding single and double on the trails, and single off the trail. The machine had plenty of power. But what I think gets way too little attention, is how comfortable of a ride this sled has. We did have it re-jetted and re-clutched, however I was told by a Yamaha Rep at the Expo in W. Yellowstone, that for the riding we did this past week, we could have come out with the same jetting and clutching from the UP of Michigan. I am a little 'nervous' to do this, however being intellectually-deprived when it comes to doing things myself, it would be great if I didn't have to pay to do this before we go, then pay again when we get back. Wish I knew of others that have a 4 stroke to see if this is true...can you leave the same jets and clutching from the Midwest when you go out West?
