Need some info on how to and what will happen as a result on getting a 2000ZL580efi (96?studs,9"carbides) not push through the curves and stop jerking from left to right.I adjusted the skies true to the track"which was off" that helped the jerking part a little.I think I need more weight on the front end?
How does the front springs on the AWS adjust?what do you have to do"hold what/turn what?Do you have to remove them to adjust them?
How does the front spring adjust on the skid?Does it have to be removed? What to hold/turn?

this could take some time to get right but it's worth it.make one adjustment at a time and see if you like the results.too many at once and you dont know which one caused the improvement or problem.
front springs: tighten to increase ski pressure by just grabbing the spring and turning it.although the tighter you go the higher the sled will sit in the front which causes it's own set of problems
front spring in rear skid:leave it alone, thats is the pivot point of the sled and usually is fine from the factory
rear springs:adjust with blocks, more spring pressure in rear will give you less ski lift under accel but much difference in turns
limiter straps: these are the best place to start.tighten nuts on straps to increase ski pressure and decrease weight transfer.
hope this helps a little

9 in carbides and 96 studs would be over kill on the carbides. I would run 6 inches. I run 144 studs and 6 inch carbies on my 600. I have my limiter straps set with 3/4 inch of threads showing past the nuts, the rear preload in the middle. the shock in the rear skid spring I keep about 1/2 up on the threads. same with the front ski shocks. hope this helps.

thanks for the input. We are riding in the morning"Tuesday" I had another set of cat skis with 9"carbides on them so I switched them Sunday it helped.I have the blocks on the middle flat, front ski springs are still factory set.I'm going to tightenup the front straps before we leave in the morning and see what that does and maybe do some adjusting during the ride.
If i adjust the front end shock springs to get the sled to set higher what will be the negitives?I would like the front suspension a little stiffer so it doesnt body roll so much when riding hard.

I think that you'll find the body roll will go away when you tighten the limiter straps. I'd give it a try 1st.

almost on rails. It had about a 1/4" of threads on the straps showing, now it has about 5/8".This made it steer like my old ZR and stopped some of the roll.I adjusted the ski springs 2 full turns "compressing" which made the front stiffer/higher and doesnt dive on the outside ski so hard anymore.
I'm starting to like the ZL now.

sounds good,i figured you'd be happy with it once set up.they really do handle pretty good

The darting is from ski alingment, make sure they toe-out. The pushing would be from low ski pressure, especially with all that carbide you have. Get the skis toed out and keep playing with the suspension like you have been and it will handle great when you find the sweet spot.

Well I set the toe about 1/16 out yesterday rode today and I think its good now...?. or can i replace the front shocks with some rebuildable fox racing shocks?I would like to get the front a little stiffer.
Thanks for the help guys it has made the ZL more like my old zr therefore I'm not disappointed with the way it preforms anymore.Although it does need the jugs replaced with some 3 exhaut ports jugs.the single just doesnt get it.Something to do over the summer when it rains.

i can definitley recommend triple rate springs on the front.i put them on mine and a few fo my buddies and they make a world of difference.just something to consider

New triple rate springs.?. That sounds like a better way to go.
