Are ya looken in here once and a while. My dad bought my 1st Polaris a 70's colt I beat it to death for years.I continued to buy them a 85-400,89-600,91-rxl,93-storm,96-600,97-ultra,99xc700,99xcr800,02xc700,04-prox,and a 05 Fusion I snowchecked for 8999.00 with shock upgrade to w/e from Nelson Speed Shop. My fusion is a bad one,it shakes realy bad,it get 6-8 mpg,it blows belts,it will only go 98mph and the shock fade out in less than a mile. When I went to your show at soaring eagle casino in 2004 your rep told me it was the best sled you ever made period and told me to get 1 now,he should have said to wait till 2006.My dealer says it is never going to be what you told me it was,and he can't fix it.I rode my 02 xc700 more mile this year than my new fusion(what does that tell you)I want you to fess up tell me you screwed up and FIX my sled or replace it( I can almost hear you laughing at me right) Its a lemon. Will yu fix it?When I called you a nice girl reads the form you left her to read, motor mounts, tork stop and reflash are not even close to being enought Nelsons won't give me anything on trade because they can't sell mine or the 15 new one still in crates. The riders in my club keep asking me what Polaris has done to fix it because some are looking at 2006s WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO TELL THEM,SO WILL YOU FIX IT OR REPLACE IT

Why would this guy ever want a cat???
I am sure that this is not the answer he wanted.
So can anyone hear this poor guy??
What are you going to do polaris??
Lots of guys who had 05 fusions want to jump ship unless you do something to fix their sleds or at least a discount on a new sled for them.

How about giving us a good trade in value,
so the dealer doesn't have to eat it
Polaris you are doing more to hurt your reputation,
than ANY advertising will make up for.
WE took the risk on the snow check
and got burned
NOW YOU have to earn it back
when DIEHARD polaris people like myself
are thinking of looking elsewhere, YOU are in trouble
we don't want the world
just a reasonable trade in value
oh ya, where the heck is MY REBATE cheque.
that you are willing to throw at any anyone looking at a 05 fusion,
what is next a $2000.00 rebate next year, just to add MORE insult to us
So much for the BIG 50th anniversary flagship.

I was die hard POO for 25 years. Wouldn't even look at another brand. Fusion changed all of that. My warantee list is a long 1 too.
I like POO's wording in Snow Tech. They are dodging the issues with the 05 BIG time.

Well the snow is melting maybe 1 more U.P trip.Dealer did put the new motor mount in and tork stop and new clutch, and yes had to call Polaris to see about the wear on the inside front of track where shock must be hitting.I put new torsion spring on to stiffen it up a bite.put a piece of rubber under handle bar mount and filled the handle bars with foam the shaking has stoped.Put new slp skis on what a differance they made it rails around corners now.I cut a hole under sled so I can adjust my chain with out taking out that suit case muffler, and had a new dip stick made so I can get it out(that sight glass would be nice)Oh ya gas mpg is 6-8 still well maybe a reflash will help that.Well I not as piss off as last week it is alot better now just think it only cost me another $600.00 to get better.I might buy another Polaris sled but and I mean BUT NEVER A FIRST YEAR NEW MODEL AND NEVER A SNOW CHECK EVER EVER EVER!!!!!!

XCR8, What did Polaris say about the wear on the inside of track? I have chunks missing in the center of my track. The reservoir on rear shock is doing all the damage, today someone told me to look there and sure enough it is where the problem is. I have pieces of the track stuck in the clamp and the bottom of the reservoir tank is ground off. You cannot slide the reservoir up anymore to help because then you cannot turn the knob, it hits on the brace. What the hell pay more for these shocks and all they do is cause more problems.
I started a post about this under Fusion owners, has anyone seen this?
Going to Polaris show on Wednesday to bitch at the Polaris reps. there, cannot wait to hear what they have to say, now they will say 2006 Fusion will be the greatest sled made. LOL

Is this problem only with the w/e shock package?

Yes I believe so, as it is the reservoir that is hitting that is mounted on the rear shock.
You should look at the bottom of the front shock and bracket that holds the shock on though as the ones with w/e shock are also rubbing when rode hard in rough trail the track gets pushed up and rubs in this spot. I would thing the standard Fusion shock position is in the same spot, so same problem?
Sled should have wheels inside of rails in this area like all older years did.

Well, I almost bought a Fusion this year. When the electric start was not available at snow check time, I thought to myself "this things not ready" and bought a Mach Z. Well just thought I'd let you guys know that Doo isn't much better as a company. I can't use the last 3 gallons of gas in my tank and the suspension was so piss poor I threw it out and replaced it with an M-10.
I have no loyalty to any brand any more and will NEVER SPRING ORDER ANOTHER SLED!!!!!! I wish you well in getting Polaris to step up. I have no faith that BRP will do anything about my fuel pump.

The grass is not greener on the other side of the fence, just read dootalk and your Fusion problems will seem minimal.

POLARIS MADE RECORD 4 QUARTER PROFIT
BASED ON FUSION SALES
ProPolaris

Don't forget that Polaris records sales when they are shipped to the dealer. As far as Polaris and Wall Street are concerned, those units are sold - never mind that a bunch of them are still in crates or on showroom floors, for Polaris' purposes, they are gone. Now, what will impact Polaris are a couple of related issues:
1. Slow '06 sales due to poor '05 performance.
2. Recall/warranty costs to fix '05s.
3. Any marketing programs that help owners of 05s like trade-in allowances.
4. Any flooring costs that Polaris agrees to carry for dealers stuck with non-selling '05s.
Polaris will have to do some of these things or the dealers won't order '06s and/or the consumers won't buy them.

I'm also on the fence, we have our Polaris show next week in Eastern Pa, I plan on attending. The more I think about this whole issue is that Poo beat their own drum as to all the R&D, etc that was done on our sleds, hell I bought into it because it's the first time I have ever bought a first year sled. Again the real reason we are taking such a beating on re-sale is due in part to the fact that Poo mandated dealers make the 05 Fusion 25% of their allocation on their "stock" orders.
