Here's a post from another site.

Waushara as of 2PM opened all but Aurora, Poy Sippi, Berlin and Sawdust City areas.# is 920-787-7037. Portage, Marathon and Wood I called and they said they are closed for the season. Waupaca may open but call 715-258-6243 for updates. Western Waushara County should be good for this weekend with 3-5 inches already and more coming.

Hey Ralph, I talked to Reinhard today. I told if you guys go tomorrow call me. I hear even around Adams county they are getting hit, that is closer than Wausau for a day trip if that is what you are doing. Otherwise we can head to my parents tomorrow and stay the night until Sunday if you want. Otherwise, I'm still keeping next Thursday or Wednesday open incase you guys want to go then.

Thats ok, at least you get one last ride. And you make some points for a future trip. I don't have a sled down here otherwise I would meet you guys, but have a great time. And we'll keep in touch for next week. Have fun and be safe!

Trails close March 31. State mandates it, end of story. homework.gif

The state does not mandate a closing date of march 31. I have ridden in April on open trails in Langlade county several times.
Unless this has changed, BUT I do not belive so. I have checked the DNR site and the AWSC site and they both have nothing about maditory dates.

The update before last on the Lanlage county site stated that they did not have a manditory closing date, so if they had snow they woudl stay open. (needless to say see below) trau14.gif

Langalde county is closing 8 am on the 25th.

"3/22/05: All snowmobile trails in Langlade County are open at this time. They are listed in fair to good condition in the northern wooded areas of the county and fair around Antigo. Because of the warm temps and thawing all Langlade County trails will close Friday morning, March 25th, at 8AM. "

Trails in Langlade county suck by Antigo, all along 64. Pickerel is a little better but not much. Here in Townsend, the trails in the woods are fair, trails from Mountain to wabeno have NO snow on them at all. Go north Dudes, I'm going to Watersmeet tommorrow, last ride of the year, unless we get snow.
