Snow Conditions
March 17,2005. Trail conditions: good to very good. Happy St. Patricks day! Trails made it this far,and I've always said a year that goes to St. Paddy's day is a good year. The 5-6" of fluffy snow we got yesterday has settled to about 2". Then this morning was -5, but sunny. The sun settled the snow even more. The open areas that were bare before are getting bare already. Tonight is supposed to get 1-3" and then friday-saturday possibly 4-8". If this happens saturday riding will be good, but it is march and you almost have to be here when it snows to enjoy it this time of year. The snow we got yesterday was only between Minoqua and Merrill. There was no snow north of Minoqua and none south of Merrill. This new storm is supposed to be more in the south, but substantial snow for us. Have a Happy Easter and hopfully we will still be riding. Fuzzy

I think Fuzzy's on vacation. Any news on the Tomahawk trails for March 24 -26? Any other reliable sources other than Fuzzy? Thanks

i planned on riding today in lando. 38-40 deg. 40 today in watersmeet mich. i suspect they are crap. anyplace the sun hits are bare. reports are bare in corners as well with rocks protruding. hurley forest roads are about it.

I'm heading up to Price County(Fifield) this afternoon! Not the greatest conditions from what I have been reading on some the sites! Oh well! I'm going anyway!
I will find some wooded trails that I can ride on for sure! I already know that!
There is some "rideable" spots by Phillips & Fifield that I know of! If those are bad,......the reports have shown that Bayfield still has some good riding! Already trailered that far what is a few more miles?!!!!! :smilielol:
Maybe lakes will be rideable too! (as a LAST resort!)
Have fun & ride safe! :div20:

I was up yesterday. The trails suck until you get to spec roads in the U.P. Trails are bare for 1/4 to 1/2 mile in spots with alot of water or mud.
I'm done for the year. Good Luck
