REDWEDGE600
My next sled will more than likely be 600HO Switchback. My dislike about the current offering is the diving board like rear tunnel extension, it needs to be made to fit the 144" track and not the 151" track, looks tacky, also you should make more like the other manufacture's crossover sleds, mybe go to a 136" track with the IQ rear suspension, the 144 is ok but I think the 136 would be a more true crossover type. And maybe some more shock options.

I know it is cheaper to build more than one sled on the same chassis, but look at the other manufactures sleds Renagade, Crossfire and yamaha nopityA.gif

So hopefuly by the time I get ready to order my next sled maybe these changes could be made. :cn:

I agree, I thought that the tunnel was too long for a 144 track. Looked odd and way too long.
Matt
Yep. The length issue is biting the guys with the 10' enclosed trailers. Guess they didn't think of that when they decided to use the 151 tunnel on the 144.

If Polaris had any brains, they would build a 600 136-1 1/4 SB with a shorter rear closeoff and a 144 2" 600 RMK with a 144 1 1/4 option on the RMK. Right now, there is way too much similarity between the two models. Dumb.

They need to get serious about their SB series, make them true cross over rigs. Put a decent rack on it, a coupling rear suspension, a wide front end. Make it suitable for an all day boondocker back-country guy, the guy who is hauling stuff to his cabin or hunting or ice fishing but wants to go through some snow one day and then chase his pals across the lake. If he wants a deep snow hill climber, he can buy an RMK. If he wants a go-fast ditch banger, he can buy a Fusion. The SBs need to be in the middle and right now they are just RMKs with different decals.

My thoughts exactly. I would oder one with 136", 1 1/4" ripsaw and coupled suspension.
Matt
I disagree. I used to think Poo needed to get with it and build a 136 Switchback, but the 144 handles great and doesn't need the coupling. It already has the wide front end with the swaybar. It only has a 1.25" track. I like the Switchback because it can easily be made into a powder sled if you're going to go out west with it. The only thing I really agree on is the shorter tail. It doesn't need to be that long. Other than that, the Switchback is great. Out of our group of 5 people who rode the new sleds last weekend, I'm the only one NOT buying a SB600 for next year...
