Is their a site with all the polaris clutch springs and tells their tension? I want to find the difference between the almond/red, almond/black and almond/blue springs. Thanks

I was told to run a almont blue and 10-62gram weights in my 01 proX 600 to make it go better.

Almond/red 165/310
Almond/black 165/310
Almond/blue 150/310

Difference between the red and the black is wire diameter and free length of the spring. Setup for your 600 seems right.

Should be able to go to the Polaris web site and download a parts manual. Have to sign in etc. If that is all you are interested in is the force/ lbs they are 165 - 310 for the almond red and black. Red is 4.29" vs black 3.75" free length.
150 - 310 for almond blue and a 3.75" free length. Blue would give you a little softer engagement and possibly a bit more top end. Red a jerk your arms off but what a holeshot if you got your suspension dialed in and are studded.

What effect does the free length have between the red and black? What almond spring is best for my ProX? I was also recommended the EPI red 145/300.Not really sure how these numbers effect my sled..Thanks guys

Higher first number will increase engagement RPM and the longer spring will have the same affect. Really depends on your riding style. Harder on belts drivetrain etc. The last number is used to fine tune your top end RPM depending on what RPM you want to run. I do not know where you are now or where you want to get to. If your top end RPM is overreving where you want to be put a softer (lower) top end number spring in or increase weights. If you are under your designated RPM on top end put a stiffer spring or lighten the weights.

Somebody will chime in and give you a ball park RPM where your horsepower is at top end for this sled.

Did you look back through old posts I would guess there are some setups you can start with.

Odd's are one of those are, or will be, discontinued soon. They did the same thing to other colors. For example, they list a dark blue and a dark blue/white. Same rate springs, just different free lengths. You can no longer get the Dark blue spring, just the dark blue/white. I think they just list the old springs as reference if someone has one and needs to replace it, they know what it was.

Unless the inventory has been changed, the almond/black is also a square- stock spring.

Yes the one I have is square. Thats how they have been unless they changed something.
