I've put on around 1500miles this year, mostly in NEK. I have been up to camp in NEK for 7 of the last 8 weekends and have ridden in all the high traffic areas and up until last weekend we hadden't seen any cops. We saw 2 wardens on sleds in Irasburg. With all the WCAX stories and officer interviews saying they are going to step up patrols I'd think I'd have seen more by now. Are they hiding somewhere else? Has anyone else seen them?
sael
They are out in Washington and Orange counties.

Have seen them consistently in Island Pond and East Haven

Spoke with two State Police Officers on the trail
Sunday out of the Derby Barracks, we were in Glover. Wow1.gif

I've been to the NEK five weekends this season and I've seen more at street crossings checking paperwork then I've seen on the trails. Back in January I saw one on 114 in the sensitive area doing radar and two checking paperwork at the 114/142 intersection. I've been stopped for paperwork four times.

I will admit, at each papercheking stop the authorities have been super nice and always offered trail conditions or trail warnings.

I've done two weekends in Pittsburg NH and both time I saw those guys. I'm sorry to say this is funny, but one of those days I saw two sleds being chased by the authorities with the flashing blue light. It's just something you have to see....

Let's see....Had my paperwork checked by the State Police once in Bolton by the suspension bridge & another time in Groton Parking Lot while unloading. The guys in Bolton gave me a trail report, but the guy in Groton gave me a warning ticket on not having towing mirrors for my enclosed trailer.

Two staties in eden and they gave me a warning to move the tags on my wife's sled or get a fine. They were very nice guys...it was cold and they were patrolling from the cab of their truck dunno.gif

we were stopped by Stone Dam, end of IP twice by State Beach, up on Rt 1 trail and 102 intersection, and over by where the snowcross used to be held and by VT Rt 114 and a crossroad in East Haven- no big deal for us as we are legal- these were all on the weekends.
jinx
i got stopped in IP 1 time this year. i was speeding (going over 35mph) he checked our paperwork and gave a friendly talk about the speed and off we went
RedRizza
That is weird.... I have been to every single spot that every one of you mentioned several times or even every weekend(ip) the last 2 mo. and haven't seen any of them... Just lucky I guess. :celebrating:
RevKilla
They are hitting Washington and Orange county hard this weekend. Expecially Barre area! And there is also a DWI check point in Little River State Park. (Stowe side). Watch out!!! :beerchug:

i rode around home last weekend (Windsor county, central part of state). out in force for sure. was stopped SIX times. that's called increased patrols, for sure.

BTW...
there were 3 groups of cops, revolving all around. that's why stopped so often. no paperwork checked. had the radar guns, out in the corners.

2 weeks ago northeast of IP at the junction of 114N and 102, a young warden was radaring. Super nice, no problem at all.

Only saw the Federallies once this year, in Woodford at he intersection of Airport Road (7) and The Glastonbury Loop (7A) they had radar, lots of sleds pulled over awaiting tickets. They just waived my son and I thru, didn't check any paperwork.
FUSION50TH
Saw them at the intersection of 7 and something in Woodford too, had like 10 sleds pulled over.....it was a group of about five PO and their silly blue lights lol, what a**'s
