Well, it's like we never even had a winter this year in the Twin Cities.......very depressing! Let's just hope we don't get a repeat of this crap for next winter.
There's got to be some decent places left to ride up north. The trick is to find just the right spot to launch from where you can ride the areas with the most shade. Usually it snows a fair amount in March but this year it wouldn't surprise me if we get next to nothing. If it does snow it's likely to melt almost immediately.

After running the trails today I'd be surprised if the season lasted much longer. I was pleasantly surprised to find some trails still in decent condition, but the warm weather took its toll. A lot of the corners were down to dirt on the majority of the Range Trails. What wasn't dirt was standing water by early this afternoon. I know it was supposed to get colder with a little more snow, but the trails could get VERY icy.

Hold your horses guys. Right now the wind is picking up and the precip is starting. 50 degrees or not, winter is not over. Wait till tomorrow morning and we will see where we are.

yup it was 60 degrees here yesterday in Alexandria, and ALL the snow is GONE!!
Suppose to get cooler today high of 20 something, but no huge amounts of snow predicted.
I say enough of this crap if we don't have enough snow to ride, then bring on Spring and Summer.
Sure Northern MN has good snow, Duluth and other areas were suppose to get 3-6 inches today, but hmmmmm I don't have the extra time or cash to be traveling 4-6 hours to find snow.!!!! :banghead: :banghead:
I think Winter is Over!!!!

I think you called it. This state sucks :banghead: . If you want to ride you better move out West or to the U.P .
Relax, the trails up north are fine....and if I lived in a terrible place like southern MN id want to move too.

Anyone know how the trails are in the Walker/Leech Lake area - thinking about heading to the cabin this weekend.

Me and my dad were just up there last weekend... and their rideable, but barely. Theres alot of dirt spots around Remer...
Edit: How are the trails near duluth? Are they good? Will they be rideable next weekend?
