Gang,

I had my first ride in over a year yesterday. Left the Comfort Inn in St. Jay and was heading over to All Around Power when the sled started acting up. Went a mile from the hotel and she was bogging and coughing. After changing the plugs and dumping injector cleaner into the tank, it started to run better and better. I got a TMA from All Around and headed to my favorite trail, Route One. Trails beautiful around St JAy. Not much snow however. Took the Pipeline over to 102N . Pipeline was boney for awhile then smoothed out the closer you got to the balls. 102n was bumping for awhile also.

Did a loop on route one and took 102 through the power line all the way to Norton. 96 miles so far for the first gas stop. Headed out 105W to 111s Trails could have used a groomer but were not bad. Did a loop of the 111a to 111b and up 114 (passed the Poker Palace) to 106 then looped 96 (twice)back over to 105 and into Averill for gas. Headed back across the Lake and down 106 to 96 to 102. Headed then down towards Guidhall and back over to 102 to Route One. Trails at this point showing signs of wear.

Headed back down 102, passed the pipeline and down to NCONCORD store. This part of 102 doesn't get the traffic the pipeline does and was in perfect shape. Good bumps for air time too. Trail over to the store almost down to dirt with water running across several locations. Got down to the store and the snow is definitely melting at the lower elevations. Crossed US2 and headed back to the hotel. Again the trails from Concord, through East St. Jay were still in good shape. Many bare spots and mud in the lower elevations. Parked the Cat outside of the hotel. I was beat but satisfied with the riding in the NEK.

Sled ran fine after the morning incident. Think it was just water in the gas. New rear spring set all the way up on new billet spring tensioners might be to stiff for trail ridng. Need to dial in the suspension better. The Ohlin shock upgrade is the way to go however. Best thing I ever did to the F7.

During the ride, I saw 2 sheriffs and the US Wildlife officer. No moose or deer. People were riding correctly and on their sides of the trail.

Can't wait to go again.
