Did the loop around Jay Peak today.. This morning the trails in the Newport Valley were just super, set up hard and groomed perfect..Trail 120 was great on the east side..Going west toward Richford wasn't as good. From Richford turn down to Montgomery was thin, snirt and rocks in places, and even one small section with no grooming at all, what's up with that? Montgomery to Montgomery Center was better, groomed well, but still not alot of snow. Montgomery through Hazens Notch was great, plenty of snow there. Took a new scenic trail that I hadn't known about over the mountain and eventually connecting back with 242 and that was great too. Don't know who takes care of that area but they are doing a great job, as is Newport Center and all the clubs in the Newport Valley. Super riding there this winter. :div20:
