Happened 2003. Lots of tips have been coming in. There are thousand os poster been distributed many people keep them with them and check out the sleds and trailers and the bike. Thanks to everyone for all the help, especially the police. We will get all the crooks who stole it and who bought it. 10 years in jaal is the time that can be served, that still is not enough. We need to put these people away so it never happens again to anyone.
Posters are up but get taken down very very fast in LacDubonnet and Seddons Corner. I think you can figure out why.

Please. We give drunk drivers that kill house arrest in this province. Jail time for this. Ya right. Hate to burst your bubble but I really can't see the sled still in one piece. The bike and trailer maybe but the sled was probably parted out real fast. Still I'll keep my eyes open.

I hope you find your sled and bike. I don't know what it feels like to have a sled stolen, but if it ever did happen, I'd put everything on hold until I found it. If I did find it, I'd make the crooks hope the cops caught them first.

Remeber crooks must be punished and remember to report everyone who steals, sells or buys hot goods i.e. stolen property.

Both actually. It is an RCMP case but when tips come in all police agencies have worked together great eg. tracking down trailers on the road when tips pour in and the Oakbank and Selkirk RCMP and Winnipeg Police send out detachemnts on the highways where it was spotted and stop the people, i.e. when going from one patrol area to the other. I was very impressed. Everyone wants these crooks severly punished to pay for the crimes and return the property in the same conditon it was taken in. It was due to the thousands of posters out there (people keep them and post them in othr places to help me out) that the bike was recovered as people called in the tips. It is great that we are all banding together like this. I will never give up. I will get my stuff back and the crooks will be punished.

Excuse me for being the one to step forward and go against the grain here but this happened in 2003 and it's almost 2006! Did you not have insurance? I lost my dog 5 years ago but I got to a point where I too stopped looking. Time to face reality man. How about showing us a NEW post of your new sled and trailer?
Regards,
ezwoodman

The bike was recovered in LacDuBonnet and the trailer and sled have been spotted. The police and many other people are very interested and helpful and are actively pursueing this. No I did not have insurance for everything. It has ruined our lives, the breakin etc. None of the items have been replaced. Why would you even be interested in this? All crooks must go to jail and be severely punished. We must treat crooks like horse thiefs used to be treated. All sledders must unite and do the right thing, live honesty, respect others, enforce the laws of the land and banish crooks. These people hurt others and our beloved recreation pastime for the whole family. They will be caught. Crooks are ruining our sport for sledders and for dealers there are far too many of this things happening but they are doing innovative things in some parts of Manitoba. If you want something get a job, defer some pleasures, save money and buy it. If you know of crooks or people who sell or buy hot goods these people have to be swiftly and severely punished. This forum is for good honest people who love the sport and wish to help others and enjoy it with them, it is not for people to put people down etc. If you break the law you must be punished. No matter how long it takes.

So....does this mean you're not going to post a picture of your new sled?
Listen, I'm an honest guy and I support why you are saying but you need to be realistic about getting your gear back. You will never stop crime! Buy yourself a new sled and go back to enjoying the sport,
and stop posting old news! No disrespect intended just trying to get you to face reality man. I'd be pissed too if I didn't have insurance but we sometimes learn those lessons the hard way.
Respectfully yours,
ezwoodman

It has only been two years and ten days since the theft. I and several others will never give up until my property is returend and all the crooks punished. That is the attitude that all people must take. That is the only way to stop crime. As I stated before I have not replaced the items because I will be getting them back. I notice you are from LacduBonnet perhaps you saw my stolen property at 28 Pineridge Drive? Do you know the place and do you know Steve Mackay who is now 30 years old (close to your age). If you can help us out that woudl be great otherwise there is no need for your comments here.

Good luck.
I'm sure its been parted out. Someone on this board probably knows somthing about it, as is the case with most online boards. Its just friends protecting friends.
A few years back I had a bunch of stuff stolen. One guy on the message board turned in 3 other guys that had my stuff. All were arrested and charged.
Good luck

(PS, this is Manitoba, seriously, everything should be insured because its only a matter of time before someone in this shitty provence robs you)
