The track should spin slightly when warmed up. You can adjust the cam on the secondary by loosening the thre bolts. 3/8" socket needed, turn the adjuster cam to the higher number-5. Note: As a rule the belt top should be about 1/8" raised off the top of the secondary sheeve.
Hope this helps.

I use that to check track adjustment. If the track rolls when the sled is in the air the track is adjusted correctly(at least for me). As long as it stops and doesn't creep when it is on flat ground. :div20:

Like the post above this mine creeps after it has been run on the stand ... this seems to be the norm amongst the people I asked.

would this also work for getting more life out of a worn belt?

I think that is the idea of the secondary adjustment. If you have the it set to tight the belt will squeel on the center shaft of your primary clutch and if it gets fairly hot your sled will even keep rolling ahead.

Squeeling like a stuck pig that is.
And, when you get off the sled, there is a very good chance you might have to chase it down and lasso that bronco!!

The reason why the track spin's is cause u got the track real loose or the belt tight...it is fine the way it is..i set my belt's up to run like that...it is like starting in a lower gear cause the belt is usall high on the sec clutch...

I have a 500 that has burnt three belts this year... it does the same thing when at idle(takes off on flat ground) too much tension on the belt I figured?
