I was wondering if anyone could tell me how compatible the parts are between a 500 and 600 polaris ves motor. Ex. could i use parts from both to build one??crankcase's,, waterjacket covers etc. And maybe as well as using a ceramic 440 exhaust on a 5 or 600 ??thanks

For the most part, things should interchange between a 500 and 600. Obviously things like pistons do not, but they use the same block, crank, ect.. things like the oil pump and flywheel might not depending on the actual motors used. Some 600's use the same oil pump as the 500, but there are a few late model ones that do not. I'm pretty sure the heads themselves are different, but the covers are the same.

The head cover will interchange. They are both small blocks, so most parts are interchangeable. Your bore, stroke, etc must be checked but the parts will interchange. I would not put a 440 pipe on a 500 or a 600, they are all have completely different wavelenths.
