We just finished up with 3 of the best days of riding I have ever had in VT. We were on fresh groomed trails every where we went. Courteous riders, what few we met, { with one exception} and beautiful sunny weather. We ride out of Barre and as I stated in anoother thread Wednesday we rode the Randolph-Braintree-Chelsea area.

Yesterday was Worcester, Waterbury the fantastic Camels Hump State Park, Waitsfield, Northfield. Perfect trails and the Hump area is a must ride.

Today was Montpelier, Waterbury the incredable Mt Mansfield State park where the trails were like a 20 ft wide billiard table.

Then on to Morrisville, Rt 100 from Stowe to Morrisville takes you over some great mountains and through many large fast fields. Elmore, Hardwick and home. Those who had to work this week or are in FL visiting that mouse thing missed the best of winter. Great trails and a sense of humor.

It looks really nice over that way. Ive always said I was going to ride over that way but never convinced myself it compared to the NEK but after looking at the photos I will seriously give it more consideration. THANKS

How do you get to the Smilie School from 89?

Thanks!

I don't know Bolton but another place to park is in Waterbury. Get off I89 and take rt 2 north 1 or 2 miles and turn right on the Little River Road. About 3/4 of a mile up is a parking lot on the left. The trail goes right through it and it gives you easy access to the Mt Mansfield State Park and if you head south on Vast 100 you will go over the long suspension bridge and be headed up to Camels Hump. There is a little bit of road riding when going this way.

Also you can park off rt 100 in Waitsfield in a picnic area know to the locals as the Pines. It is just before Kenyon's store and the trail crosses rt 100 right there. Kenyons might offer parking but I don't know that for sure. Good luck :beer2:

Kenyons does offer parking. There's a lot in the rear right on the trail. Parked there two weeks ago, no problems.
