I was looking around on the net for some overbore kits, and the 734cc one looked good, though I looked at my cylinders again, and I noticed a .1-.2 inch gash in the wall, would that be gone when they bore it out, or is it too deep? If it is too deep, I will just get them done at millenium. Has anyone ever gotten this done, and would it work well on my motor 10k+ miles on the crank, yr. 2000?

I'm sure it will be bored out, just as long as it ain't cracked, might be increased by a couple mil's with the 734, measure out the stock cylinder bore in mm.

worst thing is, i dont know what couldve caused that, it wasnt overheating, not lean, no flakes of metal, though I was at wfo trying to see how far ahead of vern before he passed me, i stayed ahead of him from the start of down the beach to almost around the bend when it just shut off, the motor on both sides wasnt even very hot. I shut it off right away, pourd some oil in each side, turned it a couple of times, waited for about an hour and it started up just fine. Do you think the the parts like the crank and entire motor is stressed even more now? I probably will get a new clutch at the same time. Does anyone know the exact horespower off of this kit and if it is any noticible gains from the origninal 700? I was looking at a new motor, and guessing the weight is over 70lbs, itd be pretty expensive to get it up here, so I`ll just get this if I cant find any other place to get it done. dunno.gif

Look like it overheated, possible coolant not circulating or an air leak.
