OK All you clutching Gurus.

I'm changing the toy fron 24/39 to 23/40. I think it would be a better ratio.
Anyways, Am i going to have to change the clutching to reduce Max RPM?

Need more information!!!!! Motor size, sled, usage etc. The 23/40 ratio shortens things up by 7%. Is that what you want? If you are talking flatlander you may be in for some serious track spin. You will of course loss top end.

And yes, you will likely need to change the clutch(s) calibration.

I just need generalization.

The sled runs well as long as it's hard pack trail. BUT feild and in softer stuff U want it to work a little less.

I was thinking of uping the angle of the helix a couple of degrees to reduce the rpm. It should help in efficiency as well. I realize that it will slow her down a few MPH at the top. But i can count on one hand how often i've been there. IT the corner to corner and seat of the pants!

It's a 99 ZR700 piped.
