I really want to put some bar risers on my sled, to fit my stand up style a little better. I am going to get the pivot block and a 6" in riser. My question is, what do I do about my brake line and my wires for my dimmer switch, i can find all kind of throttle cable extensions but nothing to do with brakes? Do I take it to the dealer and give him all the parts to put on or will they rape me? and I was also wondering about handgaruds and where to mount them? especially on the left side? THANX FOR THE HELP!!!!

i was wondering the same thing about the bar risers... and the hand gaurds it depends on what type you have...
ditchen
Brake line, I have a a spair braided line, and for the wires, just cut, extend, resolder and heat shrink

not a really good pic, but ya can tell it cleanly done. I put a 02 zx articulating post and a 4" (what ever doo calls it in mm). Oh I used differ dimmer and kill switch to get rid of all that plastic crap

You won't nee the throttle extensions, just a longer brake line(S.D. PN# 415064600).

I did pretty much the same thing ditchen did with his, but I went with the Power Madd pivot and riser insted of the Doo 440x 105mm and steering post. I use the throttle block parts from an 01 800 X(S.D.PN#'s 1 of each 512059295 414473200 572099400) and dimmer switch from a 440x(S.D.PN#515175391) to get rid of those bulky plastic, foam pad and cover. I also got a 440x bar pad(S.D.PN#506151424) that works perfect with the Power Madd riser block.

Your kill switch will work, but if you want to switch it the 440X style the PN# is 410105500.

I also went with 02 440X handlebars and grips. The hooks are actually part of the bars. I love em. I don't have the PN#, but you can get it at your dealer if you want.

It's pretty simple to do all of this, just a little soldering is pretty much all that's required. Just take your time and it will turn out awesome. If you have any ?'s, just ask. :div20:
