Be careful if you are planning to ride a loop involving Rt 7 south of Shrewsbury or north of Belmont. It is closed due to lack of snow. Going south from Shrewsbury the gates are locked and signed (Trails Closed) several miles before you get to the Route 103 crossing. (Don't confuse this post with the closed Rt 7 trail south of Rt. 103 due to logging.) This is a new closing that I came accross today. Trails from Shrewsbury to Woodstock were good to excellent. You can still get to Ludlow from 127 and then on to Belmont so I am told. Riding today felt like mid April, sugar snow and temps in the 40's. Please Snow!
