Post your dealer reports hear to help stop the lack of care to us the ever trusting sled buyer.
Worst Polaris dealer I've heard of (both from my experience and friends) has to be SpoiledSports in Bowmanville (near Oshawa)
So-So Polaris dealer award goes to DT Powersports (from my experinces and others) Good prices but sales/service can use some work. They just allways give the way to busy excuse.
Best Polaris dealer that I know of has got to be Edge Performance (from my own experience and others) Craig is one of the the most "give a shit" guys there is out there.
Can't speak of any other sled makes so ..... that was my Polaris

Jt's in New Lowell are great for parts and service (if you don't piss them off). Great Guys up there.
New Tec Recreation (polaris) in Loretto could be better if they got some salesmen that give a crap about selling anything.
Warp 9 sports (arctic cat) in Orangeville Never going back there after today. They freakin closed early which pissed me right off (I phoned 20 minutes earlier) Also they seem over priced for machines and parts.
Larrys small engine repair (ski-doo) same as above they seem like rip off artists, I've very bad experience with them so thier not getting any of my business.

MotorSports Pickering - Yamaha: Great prices but the worst service and PDI going. I will not be going back.
D/T -Polaris - Average pricing and average service.
CedarSprings in Oakwood (Cat) the best service and PDI going
I am trying out BlueBeacon (Orillia), does anyone have any thoughts on them?

They treat you great while you make the deal . Then get lost we got your money and don't even ask for a hat after you just spent $15.000
I bought 05 Renegade 800 couldn't pick it up untill near closeing so they said here put it on trailer and gave 2min run over . That was fine because I ask if when I brought it in for 10hr service could I have 20min with Mechanic yes . 10hr service $175.00 that much because they changed the chain case oil.I pay for the service told drive around back to pick it up, sleds outside again they want you to load it and get lost, guy says you have a question about the sled while outside ( -22c )and i ask him I was told I could some time to go over a couple things .His ansewr that I can read my manual if I want to know anthing

During my trip to Muskoka this weekend I broke the adjuster ring on the front right shock of my 2004 Sabercat 600 LX. Being 20 miles from Huntsville and on the trail 50 miles from where I started, we decided to not go to Dorset and in turn head to the Arctic Cat Dealer in Huntsville for the warranty fix. After 2 hours and riding a sled that had the right side belly pan dragging on the ground we arrived just before lunch on Saturday.
After explaining my situation to the Dealer and he made a visual inspection of my sled as it sat on the ice in front of his shop he informs me he does not have the part in stock. I ask him to use an old piece or take one from another sled or one from the 40 plus crates of new sleds. He tells me there is nothing he could do. I told him I was 200 miles from home and had a 50 plus mile trail ride back to my motel. He told me he would not take a shock from a new sled and that I could try the Port Carling Dealer.
With that he walked outside with a friend that just arrived and had a nice conversation with him while I sat on the ice with my sled on its side trying to decide what was next.
Conclusion to all this:
$23.95 part failure
3 1/2 hour drive back to the motel
Loaded up and came home Saturday night taking a hit on the motel
Moral of the story:
I will NEVER EVER go to SOUTH PORTAGE MARINE in Huntsville again and I suggest that no one else does as well. I have never been so disappointed before. My Arctic Cat Representative will be getting an email from me tomorrow.
Oh by the way, this morning in my garage I made a fix with 4 pipe brackets and some electrical tape and it took all of 30 minutes.
Shame on you SOUTH PORTAGE MARINE!!!!!

Spoiled Sports: Owners are okay, But get the meathead out from behind the counter and back down in the shop where he belongs. I figure they are a victim of too busy and not enough counter help.
DT Powersports: Really nice showroom. Too bad everyone there hasn't a clue. I have heard there are some good wrenches in the back but the front desk is in it for the money, to hell with the customer.
Truth is very few dealers are worth a crap. It is too bad they just wouldn't stand behind the counter and agree that the parent company is building crap and he just sold it to you. Would it really hurt them to give a few percent off the price of a part when they ordered it in special and didn't have to have it on the shelf all season. That percent off could make the difference between someone coming back or not. It is not like they have to bend over to be better. Full pop all the time.

BIRCH POINT MARINA, in Bobcaygeon, deals Cats, and have been the best dealership I have ever dealt with, no bullshit, honest and reliable service, and fast, they have your stuff fixed and ready when they say, and they always have time to answer any questions, IMO they go out of their way to service the customer, and their quality of work is unmatched, they even have a 3000' plowed track that they do their perf testing on.
MARKHAM MOWER is another great dealership I've dealt with when I had Yamaha, very resonable prices, and Art their head tech is a wizard, in the tuning department.
NO GOES...
MCAULEY"S FORD TRACTOR, in Orillia is a friggin JOKE, this is the place I made the mistake of purchasing my F7 from, not only did i get the run around, but they would keep my sled for a weekend, just to fix a simple handlebar warmer problem, they were more interested in dealing with farm equipment, in the middle of Jan then helping out their snowmobile customers... not only that, a few months after I took deliverey of my sled, I got a call from their accounting department, saying that the salesman I bought from had been fired for stealing from the company... god only knows what he took me or other customers for.

The dealers I have delt with for CAT are:
Snow City Cycle - No longer sell Cat's though. Roger in parts was a really good guy to deal with.
VanDyke's Cat shop - No longer in business but these guys were AWESOME to deal with. I truly wish they were still around.
Pickering Marine - Very good dealer and I find Al an honest and down to earth guy.
Dryland Marine - Worst bunch of dick smacks I have ever dealt with. Will NEVER go there ever again. Enough said. :frech32:

I am not going to bash any dealer but I will post a couple of dealers who have treated me very well.
POLARIS: GO Performance in London has bent over backwards to help me out. Definitely recommend them.
AC: Warp 9 Sports in Orangeville is the best Cat dealer I have dealt with. I drive past 3 AC dealers to get there. Mike is a very quiet guy and sometimes can be taken as grumpy. In reality, he is just a man of few words.
I have bought several new sleds from both shops and will buy from them again.

Even though I pulled in on a Ski Doo they went out of there way to fix my helmet (it was just a visor bolt ) they didn't have one they even were willing to take it of a new one if they had the right one.

I use KW Honda here in Waterloo for parts and they do a great job, always get the parts in 1-3 days then phone and leave a msg the morning the parts arrive. I know a few people from my club buy their sleds there and are very happy with the service. Prices are average, but they are a long time Honda motorcycle dealer and they don't BS, so i find it worthwhile to deal with them. And they are 10mins from my house.

Korpis in Peterboro is were I bought the F7 ,went to pick it up and it came out with a $230.00 cover on it.I said that I didn't want a cover just yet,Brock say's: it's on me.That will keep me going back because of that.
I have bought atv's from them in the past and had trouble with scratches on the back fenders when I took it in for service, they replaced the plastic, the guilty one dosn't work there anymore!!!!
The F7 is going in for it's 500 mile check up here soon I will see how I make out with that.

Bought my sled from Snowmobiles Unlimited in Durham - brand new 2003 ZR900 in July 2004 - still in the crate. Stole it from him basically but he still threw in a hat. Not a fancy place - a bit of a Sanford and Son type place if you know what I mean, but the price was right.
Took it to Korpi's Performance in Peterborough who did a proper Predelivery service as well as some modifications. Brock, who is the manager, is great to deal with, I didnt get hosed and they know what they are doing - told them I wanted my ZR9 to beat any other stock 900's out there and run with the new Machs and my sled flat out flies! They are both Arctic Cat and Yamaha. I drive 2 hours to get to them and will definitley keep dealing with them!
Here's a few dealers that have helped us out while we were far from home in need of help.......
Kennisis Lake Marina.....took parts off a sled in the showroom to get my buddy going again
A Ski Doo dealer in Cochrane.....while fixing a wiring problem on a buddy's Yamaha, he let us take his new sled to play with for awhile!
If in need for Polaris parts or service do not deal with COPS in Barrie. Bunch of bandits. DT was excellent all around and so was Performance in Bradford. Young guys that know their stuff. Also a plug for a dealer in Cochrane (cant remember name) but excellent guys who let us rape a sled for parts and use his tools.

I called to take my father's 2002 600 Classic there for warranty work (I was not able to buy it there - did not have one when needed) and they were great. They installed the extra cooler, new bottle and a small warranty issue on the reverse lever. Overall great service so far.
They have also been very helpful when ordering parts.

I agree. The Skidoo dealer in Cochrane is awesome! Rode from Fergus to Cochrane last winter and blew the belt on my Doo running at 90 mph forever on the powerline trail from Timmins to Cochrane so I put the spare on. Went into the dealer for a new belt and they were out of stock. Told him we had a long ride back to Fergus and I didnt want to be without a spare belt. He sent a guy by truck down to Matheson to get me one. The guy got back after closing and found us at J.R.'s having ribs where I had told him we would be or at the North Adventure Inn. He gave me the belt and said to just pop over to the dealership after we were done eating and come into the shop at the back. Finished eating and went over and there were about a half dozen guys in the shop with a case of beer (this is around 7:30 at night now and they are closed) watching some guy, maybe one of the Techs, replace a track on a customers sled that had to go out the next day - late night service? They offered us a beer so the four of us had a beer, shot the shit for a while, paid for the belt and thanked them very much! A great bunch of guys! Still have my Doo but also own a Cat now so we will see how the Cat dealers take care of their customers now. Also Mikey's Skidoo in Timmins are good guys too. Pulled into there on the way to Cochrane and my buddy had both carb boots replaced while we waited - noticed they were split when it wouldnt start at Post 392 that morning. Did it fast and reasonable and got us back on the trail. BTW - Post 392 (about 50 km south of Timmins on the tops trail) is an absolutely AWESOME place to stay. I 've had really good luck with Bennet Marine (Ski-doo) in Scarborough, Mike always has time to answer a question in person or on the phone.
Don't think I'll ever go back to Uxbridge Small Engines (Ski-Doo), I bought a Stihl weed wacker there, didn't like it so I went in to see what kind of a trade they would give me on it so I could buy the next one up. He looked at me, said "yea, that's why I don't like to sell those ones, people don't like them" - turns around and walks away! Didn't have any problem selling me one! My wife was with me, we kind of looked at each other like "did he really just do that?". Asshole.
Buddy of mine bought two new Legend 380f's from him, he wouldn't even throw in the covers. Said something like "we don't give things away here". Nice.
Maximum Marine in Port Perry is really good too, both Stuart and Troy really know their stuff. Troy used to race snow cross. I take my boat to them too.

Bought all my cats from McQuires in Tilbury, but their a little( off

) off with their service. Great to deal with though. And Sleds Unlimited in Durham is about as good as they get as far a service. Been there lots and they treat you like kin. Used his shop many times for repairs(cats and others) with no charge. I'd recomend them anytime. He worked on my sled first thing in the morning straight off the trail for aboiut 4 hours, gave me his truck to go for breakfast and then only charged me parts and 1 hour labor. Won me over right there.
