My 92 500 classic only get about 8-9 mpg, is this normal? I have gotten as low as 7 mpg, I should be getting better than that shouldn't I??? It is a carbed model, Of course I would rather run rich,

P.S. As I well top out at 80 mph as well is that normal too??

Our 1990 indy 500 would hit 85 mph, but you'd need a hell of run...sounds normal to me.

My sister in law rides a '98 Indy 500 and she gets 16-18 mpg.
I think maybe your clutches need a rebuild...
