Hi i have a 94 formula Z with a 583, I just picked up a heat shiled for my helmet. My sled Dose not have electric Start but dose have the heated thumb and hand warmers. Was wondering where i could hook the wirring up for the heat shielf with out cutting and splicing wires. any help would greatly help thank you.

If you look under the hood by the steering column there should be 1 or 2 hot leads from your wiring harness already pre wired and ready for a plug in. All you have to do is find out which wire is hot, and which one is the ground then splice in your wiring from your shield that came with the kit into the right type of connector and you'll be all set. If the wires from your shield kit are red&black, Red is hot wire and black is the gruond.

Thier colors are solid yellow (pos/red) and a yellow with black stripe (neg/black)

Yeah i hooked mine up to the yellow and yellow/black thats what the dealership told me.
