Anyone do any riding in Potter County/Potatoe City? Just wondering what the trails where like and overall how the riding was. Have never been out there but I hear its pretty nice. I was gonna go up to Ricketts Glen but thats closed so I was thinking of gettin some guys together and giving that area a shot. Anyone have any riding time out there? Trail conditions would be appreciated, thank, and with more snow tonight the trails should be nice... :div20:

I believe the State Game Lands directly west of Rickets Glen are now open as friends rode the area last week. It's a nice area to ride until the trails get beat up.
BTW: on a good day we can ride to North Mt. from the area we live: Clarkstown.

Is it possible to ride to Ricketts Glen from Wyalusing? I understand the railroad bed to Noxen might be washed out. Do you know if that is correct?

The conditions in North West Lycoming/Potter County are good to excellant. On Saturday we unloaded at Slate Run and rode to Ansonia. The pipeline was excellant. At least a foot of snow in some areas. The groomer is out.

Ive never done it but I have friends that start out in New Albany and have road all the way to Sun Fish Pond and they have also road to Benton so I imagine if they can get to Benton they can get to Ricketts Glen. I wode like to make that trip but we would def. need more snow.

Potato City had good snow 12 to 18 " but have had no new snow in about 2 weeks and the trails are gettin beat. A few inches of fresh snow would be nice.

Hey Big Bad Cat I noticed your mileage is down this year just like mine. The big boys who were out playing last weekend by taking blind turns on the inside really beat up the trails. Appears that we are headed towards a disappointing light snow base season. Headed to SouthWestern New York. Hope it is worth the 5 hour drive. If not a week in Quebec at the end of the month should end my season on a satisfying note.
