Day one of our 5 day loop from Shawinigan to Roberval doesn't sound good. From Motel Safari we are booked into Roberval the first night and plan on going around LSJ and into Chicoutimi the 2nd. Mt Valin conditions are great and we are supposed to return to Shaw along the river thru Tadoussac and Malbaie on day 4 and 5, but I may re-route the start from Shawinigan and go East along the River to Malbaie and hope for snow by the end of the week.

Any recommendations or contacts on Shaw to Roberval, LSJ and Shaw to Tadoussac would be great.

Bernards to Roberval is a long 1st day... You may want to go to Jacks place or relais 22 instead. Also there is a very nice place Called Pouivere Gouland ?? Not sure of the spelling Bernard will know where I am talking about. Awesome place to stay. Then stay west of the lake as much as you can as you go around it. Head up to Dolbeau Mistanassi and take the 368 ?? I believe it is, across and then down into Shipshaw and across the river if you wish to go to Chicoutimi. Once you reach Dolbeau it's all excellent running.

its about 270 miles, a can do in day light if you keep moving all day. we did it 2 weeks ago and the trails were fine.

Just got back today from Bernards. There is plenty of snow around Shawinigan. Trails were 8-10
