Remeber we r 14 im a throttle junky but ive been ridin sleds since i was liek 5 and had alot of WOT races down stuble fields against my dad on his 800 and i stick right with him but, he also dotn change to flatlander wieghts when we come home from the mountains, I donno if this kid is as crazy or has the balls he says he does. I think hes all talk and no show, but o well have to try it sometime.

I would have to say the F7 - this past weekend Newberry, Mi my F6 pounded an 02 Polaris Edge 800 and 05 Rev 600 (modified with clutch kit, reeds, etc) I hooked up and shot out of the hole - both were about 4 lenghts behind - 9 witn buttrock.gif esses
Fast Rider
It will not do 140 no way no how...the 2" paddle will slow him down, and with a paddle that deep he might run into track problems in a WOT run...but I would hafta say the F-7, but prbably not by too too much. If you clutch your sled Id bet you can take him with that 2"er
Ron
You should be worried about the F6s not the F7. I am surprised he even wants to race you...... Sorry bud. :banghead:

hey guys and gals.Ihave a 2002 700xcsp,stock,wish i had a 1.25 track only 1 now, buddies 99 670 formulastock except a 1.25 track,he took me off the line everytime,i just spin, but catch him very quick when my sled hooks up,i think that .25 sure helps grab. we did about 15 starts on all types(hard packed, powder and stubble field,i took him once off the line(he finally spun and i beat him),but i can catch him everytime ,he wouldnt race a quarter mile(he new he would lose)my buddy and i have been friends for 20 yrs and we have this little rivalrey(how ever u spell it)we enjoy riding and bragging about each others sled,i thought my 700 would kick his sled but it was close,he never touched me at higher speeds, but that 1.25 track is what killed me,guess i have to get a better track, maybe next year he even rode my sled and i took him off the line while riding his,he couldnt believe how much the track spins on mine, maybe i need to do some suspension work, not sure, well theirs my 2 cents, have a great day, gone sledding tel the wife i will call when i run out of money or snow lol flag_canada.gif polaris_rules.gif

Lose the rear scissor stop next time. It makes a world of differance on our sleds I keep the tools to remove it right in my pouch for when the times get tuff.
SpeedBump
1)Have ridden both Polaris XC's and Firecats, sorry to say he'll take you. 2)As for 140 mph, fat chance, he has no clue what he's talking about. Just an unbiased opinion from a current Ski-Doo owner......

I raced a '05 F7 with my '03 700. F7 had no trouble(sorry to say). Both sleds pretty much stock. Took me out of the hole and all the way to the top.

As far as the 140 goes, tell him he can have 1 gillion dollars if it can prove it.

Taking out the RRSS, makes a difference on holeshot. I took mine out and can keep front end off till at least 70 mph, but the problem is you can't steer.

all I can tell you is my 02-800 spankes f-7 and zr9's so I think you might have a chance if you can get the hole shot the 2in paddle will slow him down so run him :div20: and stop :banghead: you head against the wall smiley-faces7.gif

Who runs a 2" paddle in North Dakota? Daddy probably bought him a Sno-Pro with the 1.375"(I does look aggressive) . He probably thinks his weiner is 8" long too. 140? try about 105-110 with that track. Your bone stock 700 will be VERY far behind him though.

My 04 700 XC has taken alot of tuning and mods to run as strong as it is right now,not to mention a Team clutching nightmare.
I can pull with an F7 in 660 right now,after a 1000 feet don't bother unless you have a pipe/pipes,head, clutching/gearing etc.
They are fast, plain and simple even if you make the same HP their chassis is very efficient and the narrow track makes more speed.

That's why most of the MSRF ice racers are all going to the narrow track, they are much faster!
Just my opinion.
