I was wondering if Fusion owners should get together here, log their Vin # and time of manufacture and compare problems. If we could come up with some common problems related to dates of manufacture, Polaris Industries could be notified. I'm sure they already know but it would be good if we know. There just seems to be too many inconsistent reports of product performance, reliability etc.
Belts, Clutches, different injectors, top end performance, gas mileage.
What do you guys think?

50th with W/E shocks, serial # SN1MP8DS75C531271 have not rode it enough to give a honest report. Gas was about 10 mpg and only had it to 99 mph, now it has the re-flash but have not rode it yet.

I don't think that build dates will have anything to do with the problems, next years model yes but not this years they were all built before they were on the snow....so i figure that they are learning from their mistakes and next years sled will be sorted.

Yeh, you may be right but lets try anyway, maybe we can establish a pattern.

well maybe im wrong I done some thinking....a group of sled that were built in between certain dates could have something on them in common...so i think you guys are right in doing this.

The build date is right there on the tunnel beside the serial #. Mine is Sept. 22/04, yellow injectors. Just had update so can't comment as to performance/mileage.

im wondering if the different injectors have anything to do with fast and slow fusions.

What we need here is a breakdown of all aspects of your fusions/rmks/sb's.
vin, production date, injectors, reflashed or not...and how your sled performs over the wide variety of conditions. that would make it easier than just posting vin and production dates.....

the early production sleds needed the recalls done build date up to late oct, ie fuel line axle shaft then shock rods, as far as speed, fuel and vibration it seems to be a hit and miss issue, vibration was bad on every other sled both early build and late build, speed so far seems consistant 110-117 ice road, 98-103 hard pack trails, fuel ecomoy poor for the most part, mostly a range issue here, run an ealry production sled sat, run hard until it stopped got 95 miles to a tank, they are a bugger to start when run dry, have to power up fuel pump to start sled. ( this is comparing 8-10 sleds in my area). belts are a problem on all sleds.

What we need is for Polaris to step up to the plate and get these issues resolved......pronto. After all, they designed and built the f@$!&*g things. Kind of like a stinky old whore I guess........screw you, take your money and you never hear from them again. Nice.

How about class action status. Polaris did not full fill half of what they promised us.

I have the 50th (Walker Evans) Blue Fusion Build date 10/10/04 . I weigh 230 lbs and just ordered the heavy duty springs ($180 Cnd.) Had the reflash at 10 miles . Just got back from Gaspe last night with 1012 Miles. Broke 1 heavy duty spring at 250 mile mark ,found a dealer after 100 hard miles , he put in a regular spring as he had no heavy duty broke the other heavy spring after 150 miles Sunday no dealers open drove 300 miles back to truck. I wanted to push her over a cliff as the 3 ski doos i was with suggested( 2 800 renegades 1 brand new mach z ) i got 8mpg over the 815 mile trip the mach was putting in $10 less at every fill up. I'm not a very happy camper.
Polaris better make it right !!!!!!!

wow! i just posted a reply on another polaris fusion issue what i said was snotech went on a polaris final evaluation testing in get this, iceland of all places glacier ice and snow IN AUGUST !!! THIS WAS THE FINAL TEST before full fall production and snotech editors were very pleased to get to go along they compared their early build ones to these final test ones and were very surprised at how great they were compared to the early ones. running and vibes were in check as well as fit and finish they realy commented on how well they were dialed in and the power band was so much stronger and smoother all the way up but they didnot know anything about mileage because there is no trails to ride in iceland, just wide open glacier type snow i guess but what gets me is if they came to final tuning before production how long did that give them to mass produce sinse this testing session was in august?? that must mean some sledds had to be built pretty close to sept. or sooner so what does that tell you they were still getting the bugs out and tuning while they were getting underway for fall delivery dates ???? sounds tooo close for comfort here
