I've seen people switch the plugwires around to diagnose whether it's an electrical problem or a fuel problem. But sometimes on triples they don't run right when you do that, but it might be something to check? dunno.gif

there are way too many options man, rings sticking, cyl compression, bad coil, carb dirty/ plugged, float level incorrect, needle and seat sticking, bad stator/cdi box, broken reeds, have you done comp check?,id start there, do things in an organized logical order and you will find the prob, what does an engine need to run? comp, fire, air/fuel, check all easy things first then dig deeper, by the sounds of it i would start with a good carb inspection as it sound like you either have a stuck needle and seat or you float level is off flooding out the cyl. the next place id look is at the coil on that sid, as a trouble shooting procedure you can switch the center cyl plug wire with the pto side and see if that fixes that cyl, if it does your coil is bad, remember these 2 stroke fire 3 times per revolution and they all fire at the same time so you dont have to worry about the wrong plug wire on the wrong cyl.

Thanks 4 the input machz1, I know what to check 4, but the sled has just left the dealer for a crank replacement, and he want's the sled to run right. The dealer was specifically told to "go through" the sled at any cost to check for any wear that he does not have time to do. This has been, and still is a problem with the sled 4 the past two years, before and after the crank problem, Do you think that the dealer may be turning down this problem because of the variance of it or do you think that the the owner of the dealer(which I may post) does not have the proper techs doing the service work on the snowmobiles that come in ??? I ride polaris, and if i was given this senerio i could probably pin-point my problem faster then the dealer. But u see I have taken my motor and suspension apart for fun on some nights just to check for wear.basically i was looking for a common problem (which i unfortunately did not find) to make "my" his life a little easier.
The dealer actually had enough nerve to hand him a br8es plug and say "this will solve the problem" he is a busy business owner and does not have the time to work on his own sleds. so other then telling the dealer to stick the plug up their @$$ i think i will incourage him to switch dealers. any input????
