(Webster, NY) 01/18/05 -- A snowmobile ride turned into a serious accident Tuesday night in Webster.
Police say two snowmobiles--both carrying two passengers--side-swiped each other in a field off State Road.
All four people were injured; three were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

In a field! I hope everyone turns out alright, but that should have never happened! On a trail, I may be able to understand, but not in a field!

MeanGreen, I live in Webster and I was out riding that night. I can't find anything except for a small blip on WHAM's site. Nothing on Rnews or D&C. I hope you are wrong about the later part of your post. The fields off of State Rd. is bizzare none of them are on the trail system (oops. my bad 2 of them are). They are also all furrowed and REAL bumpy. Thanks for the info. I have been looking for this since I heard rumor on Tuesday. Doug

That always prevents people from drinking...right?

Anyway. I heard it on the news as well. Very sad to hear indeed.

My wife works with the mother of one of the girls, and she said the girl that was hurt the worst was released fron IC, only to have trouble with her lung.
But she did not die.
They were traveling 75mph when they "clipped" the other sled.
