Arctic BlastF7

:augen41:
PECKERHEAD
No worse than the Polaris IQ440!
ScottyR
So ugly, its cool IMO.

Reminds me of a VW Beetle.
F5_Z06
it looks like they made it in a basement.
Pete_YK
Forget all that...it just looks like a peice of shit, thats all there is to it.
kodiakman76
If it serves its purpose for bringing the youngsters and beginning riders to the sport, then we all win. Congrats to doo for taking the first step.

It does serve a purpose, and Im sure we will see them from all the OMEs in the next few years. The goal for the sled is to be a "tweener" sled that is affordable for pepole that might want to get their kids a sled but don't want to dish out cash for the kids might wreck it. m2c.gif

thats the ugliest thing i have ever seen trau14.gif :lol2:
Culprit
LOL! You guys make me laugh, you likely all said the REV was ugly when it came out too!!! I haven't heard anyone say that after they were out for a while. Give it a chance. It is different!
BR9ES
it almost weighs HALF as much as my sled :augen41:

bring it up to about 100hp and it would be hilarious to drive. :smilielol:

how much are they going to be, if they're really really cheap, then it'll be worth having to deal with the little 1 cyl 300cc motor unless you actually want to trail ride on it!! :smilielol:
ArcticCatBoy09
that's because the ac four strokes are fat asses...
martinr_17
and i thought the Polaris IQ 440 was ugly
StudBoy5Racing
that sled took place of the polaris IQ for ugliest sled yet
GregRoss
Bizzar looking, no doubt. Ski-doo is trying to blaze a new trail with this one. I look at the demographic they are marketing to and believe it has a chance to work. The sled looks to be made for extreme trick riding...the snow boarders might dig it. I was talking to a guy who is pretty high up at Team Industries who told me that the average age of a snowmobiler is 43. Seems pretty high to me, but if its true that is a crisis for the industry.
98 Thundercat
This sled will fill the void for younger riders and If Arctic Cat doesn't release something similar for 06 I will be purchasing this freestlye for my kid. That is if we ever see snow again Flush.gif

the rev is ugly. freestyle is ugly. you don't get a doo to look pretty. but freesyle is the only sled available that bridges the gap so kudos to skidoo even if it is ugly.

The 97 AC cougar that YOU ride is also ugly.....everyone has an opinion.

Whoever said the average age of a snowmobilier is 43 is half right. The average age of a purchaser of a NEW sled is 43. This is a problem for the longevity of this sport. I think this is great whht ski doo is doing....not only that this is a sled that women and children can ride at a faster pace because of the light weight and smooth power.

I think one with NOS might be fun on the trails grinning-smiley-023.gif

Is this thing A modern day elan?I used to to have A blast riding the old elans in the woods.
lumberjack57
ski-doos smaller fan cooled scandics follow the same design also, and it is one dam ugly sled, but by the looks of it u could pick it up over your head because of the weight

Yea you dont get a doo to look pretty you get one so it can beat your pretty green machine
strangeland2
i agree its not the best looking but i would also snag one up for my kid if he was a little older and i wont lie i would ride it around the yard as much as he would i think the sled is going to be a blast to rip around on its only problem on the trails would be that it was be ridden hard trying to keep up to the bigger sleds but get that thing tooling around in a little off trail play area and it will be awesome

I am still roaring :smilielol:

It may look ugly now, but wait a year or so until they get some colors and designs figured out.

The younger generation could have this thing as 1 of the best looking in a few years. Wow1.gif
PECKERHEAD
Best thing for the sport of snowmobiling!!!!!!!!
Thinking of ways to get the younger generation involved in the sport!!!!

I AGREE WITH YOU MARTIN R I THINK ALL THE NEW SLEDS LOOK LIKE CRAP. BUT FOR SOME REASON THEY SELL .I LIKE THE LATE 90,S SLEDS THEY JUST LOOKED FAST NOT LIKE A BUNCH OF GRADE SCHOOLERS PUT THEM TOGETHER WITH LEFT OVER PARTS... AND AS FOR ALL THE BLAIR MORGEN ,S YOU WILL GET OLDER THAT I CAN PROMIS AND YOU MIGHT WANT TO GO FOR LETS SAY A :frech32: 100 OR 150 MILE DAY. NOT JUST OVER A FEW BUMMPS AND JUMPS THEN TO SEE THE THE DOC BEFORE THE NEXT WEEK END ...
catchmeifucan
i bet a few of these "that thing is ugly" guys will be lining up to take 'er for a rip, just to see what its all about......................

What about the cat 370 and the Polaris 340??? Dont you think these are all in the same class??
HoultonCats
Hate to admit it, but I bought my 7 year old son one and I am a Cat dealer. I bought it at a Power Sports Auction. It is a great sled for him to step up from a Sno Scoot/Sport. He likes it better that the Z370. We are hoping Cat will have something in this class on 2007.

Other than a belt deflection adjustment, this thing goes great with zero issues.

You sure do get some strange looks on the trail though.
mxz700r
wow... ugly! and im doo all the way. are the manufacturers trying to be in the ugliests sled olympics???wtf. between polaris's new one(hurl) arctic cats new one 1100 cc jag ( hurl) who designs these things? do they ride on trails where ppl can laugh at them,....there gonna! i dont have a clue what these guys are designing.............perhaps the manufacturers should pay attn to the riders all over the world......and their input huh? because the designers are not with the program..... spend 10k on a an ugly sled........um ill pass. whats next..........friggin hybrids geez!
Nanoonanook
Hummmm... $6000 Cdn for a 340cc fan cooled single cylinder ??!! You can get a lot of sled for $6000.. a heck of a lot more than what this machine offers.

I don't know what you guys are smokin, but the IQ 440 race sled is one of the best looking sleds made, actually now that the zr's and firecats are done I might have to say they are the best looking sleds made today.

Now don't get me wrong, the IQ chassis rmk's or fusions are ugly.

Don't diss the freestyle just on it's looks, I rode one, and with the ski stance, it is the most effortless side hilling sled ever and quite a lot of fun to beat on.

To quote another HCS member: IT'S LIKE A FAT CHICK, THEY'RE FUN TO RIDE AS LONG AS NOBODY SEE'S YOU DOING IT! hear_no_evil.gif

hummmmmm.... it is actually less than $6000.00 and it s a 300 fan single!!!!
ZR600x2
I ride cat and I was really captured by it the first time I saw it, and I think this sled actually looks cool it will grow on ya like the rev did. At under 400lbs for the 300 and a narrower ski stance this thing really carves, the suspension just rolls under you like you are on a skateboard, this will be a great mid level sled. The Z370has a smaller motor but thats about it, it is still based on the zr3 chassis and is alot to handle coming up from a 120. The other manufacurers need to step it up to keep the sport alive. Or I will be buying a freestyle for my daughter when it comes time!!!
