Ok, were back, did 60 miles and left out of Twin Brooks. The ride to the airport was little snow to any in some places. But north of the airport was good and snowing while we were there. We left out at 1:00 pm and were back by 5:00. I don't know how it is up towards Jenk's and beyond. I did here that everyone must stay out of the old ski resort, they will shut the reroute down if we do not. Pray for snow we need it.

I rode Woodford out of Airport Rd. today, 12/29, and it wasn't bad at all. I didn't find any rocks or dirt, just a lot of ice.

After the next couple of warm, wet days, it will be a very different story come this weekend though.

DJSF7, did you find your vibe? would have been a good day to have those studs in though.

It was fun without the studs!!! I almost forgot what it was like to ride in those conditions without studs. Have to admit, at reasonable speeds, I liked being able to whip the ass end around.

As far as the vibe, it was still there and, for the first time, I actually noticed that I could simulate the buzz without moving the sled and just by revving the engine to engagement. It's either an issue with the engine snubbers being way too tight against the engine or I may have a bad crank. It's at the dealer now for some checks and to get the studs put back in.

yea i'll agree, i like the feel of a "loose" sled also. i don't have my sled studded, and never have never ridden a picked sled for that matter, but if this winter keeps up the cold/warm/cold pattern, i might seriously think about it.
good luck with the vibe, see ya on the trails.
