ok, here's the deal. I recently rebuilt my motor top to bottom, therefor had the oil pump off. I ran 390 jets in it last year, but this year while I had the cylenders off, damn if my polishing wheel did not somehow (accedently) :smilielol: fall into my exhaust ports. So when I put gas in it to run it for the first time, I mixed it 50:to1
3 gallons. I ran that off yesterday out on the lake. oh yea, this year I put 430 main jets in it. Now yesterday it was about 15 or 20 degrees F. the plugs looked perfect. So the question is, doesnt burning double oil make the motor run lean? that is what I have heard, I am heading to the U.P. wendsday and am not going to run premix, I am worried about jetting if it gets colder. By the way, its a 99 T-Cat with the air box gutted, and like I said that polisher was running real good when it fell into the exhast ports.
Thank you ahead of time, Jacques dunno.gif

are you at stock jetting? if so i dont see any issue with premix. like they say vary speed and break in according to manufacturers recomendation. yes oil does lean down jetting but i dont see it as a big factor. i am more concerened with water in float bowls from condensation after a long storage period.
