Planned on riding today - one way or another. Mostly to see how the sled performs after my dealer made some EFI adjustments and getting shocks rebuilt and revalved.

It was F#$*ing cold! cold.gif I got a late start but it was still -5 deg. when I unloaded at 1:00PM.

Plenty of snow on the fire roads and almost enough in the woods. No grooming but 7N from Airport road to the "weenie wagon" lot was flat and fast. Topped out in one spot at 95mph and just ran out of room. Managed to get about 60 miles on in about 1 1/2 hours. Only saw 3-4 other sleds and almost ran into a guy on a Fusion that wasn't paying attention. Good thing I was.

Sled did well and the shocks felt great! Thanks ODS and Looneytune. Great job Bill! :beerchug: The rear suspension never felt so good.

The 05 seat is awesome although it did add a little more inside ski lift on certain corners because of the added height but still a very nice upgrade.

I fear that the warm temps later this week are going to kill the base up there. Definitely going to need a lot more snow ASAP.

WAY too cold for water. Lots of frozen "holes" in the woods though. Some big enough to swallow a sled if you're not paying attention.

I love the holes that have just enough of a lip on them to turn 'em into little jumps if you catch 'em right.

If they had about 6" more snow, I'm sure the groomer would be out filling those in but not quite enough snow in the woods right now.

That's funny....were the trails open on Friday? I thought today was opening day. Just curious...becuase this is how our trails get closed. State land or not...I am sure you had to use some private land/trails to get there!

You stopped to see if we needed help. My brothers Ski doo crapped out, I had the

Opening day was a blast Thanks for stopping to see if we needed help!

I towed his sled 5 miles, Man what a beating that was.

The rain this week will be devistating, I'm not going back untill after new years.

Well, I didn't exactly stop but you did give me the OK sign after I slowed down and gave you a thumbs up. Glad you had the situation under control.

I was going to stop and just shoot the shit for a minute but I didn't have much time left to ride.

I really wish there was an easier way to identify a fellow HCSer on the trail.
