i just got a 97 idny 500 efi and was wondering how much horsepower it might have and how fast it will go. and if you know anything else about them thats good please reply..thanks

a friend used to have one and he could get about 95 out of it. Im pretty sure his had about 86 horsepower stock.

someplace in the 80-90 HP range... I had a motor out of a 98 500 in my XCR 440 chassis... It was a quick sled but really not a race maniac, Id say it'd show about 90 on the speedo, so take that for whats its worth. GREAT MOTOR! bulletproof! started second pull out of storage for the past few months. Its like an energizer bunny.
