I keep hearing bad things from all the farmers and people who don't sled that there is going to be a deffinite lack of snow this year. I can almost see it, after the amount of rain we had this spring, summer, and fall now there isn't any precipitation left for winter. Almanac says mild with not much snow........PLEASE SAY IT AIN'T SO!!

4mula you are pathetic. Why would you listen to someone that is negative to begin with. These people are called dream stealers. Keep a positive attitude and just wait. Have faith that God will deliver us the snow we want. If by chance we dont get any throw your sled on a traler and find some!

If it stays mild like this we have to get some snow eventually...the moisture can't evade us for too long!

Here is a paraphrased version of the Almanac for the Prairies...doesn't look that bad, does it?
"December 2004
1st-3rd. For the western slopes of the Rockies and all points east, stormy conditions prevail: rain, snow, then clear, cold. 4th-7th. Another storm from British Columbia moves into Rockies by the 7th. 8th-11th. Storm from the Rockies brings snow to Prairies. 12th-15th. Pacific storm brings widespread rain, snow to Rockies. 16th-19th. Considerable cloudiness, a snow flurry. 20th-23rd. Waves of storminess produce periods of heavy rain, snow. Bitterly cold temperatures follow. 24th-27th. Generally fair, dry, very cold for Christmas, Boxing Day. 28th-31st. Snow. "

I agree .... I have never in my life seen a winter without snow ..... we need to stop over analizing the weather, and just have patience.

They are saying this year could be a mild el nino winter, which means warmer weather than usual, but I doubt that affects Manitoba much, especially further north. Its finally here I think, no above freezing temps in the forecast, and more snow on the way.
