Just a thought, but can you add RER to a 2000 mxz?

Im pretty sure you can, a friend of mine got RER on his 98 500 touring for about 500 bucks cdn.

No, I bought a 2000 MXZ 700 new (snow check) and when I ordered it, I asked for the RER. My dealer told me that I had to go with the mechanical reverse, as the clutch that this machine came with would not work with RER. Having said that, I'm sure someone will suggest that you buy a new secondary unit, as well as all of the electronic stuff that makes this system work. Hey, I guess anything is possible, after all, we put a man on the moon over 30 years ago, why couldn't someone retrofit all of this stuff? You may find it cheaper, however, to go down to your dealer and buy a brand new Rev with RER already on it. One thing is for sure, it would be easier to locate than all of the miscellaneous parts.
