Edge X 600 with 144 Woody's down the middle...Question is.. I've been running 6 inch carbides but considering 8...We tend to hustle it a bit so thought maybe 8's were the way to go...Opinions please....

I also run 144 down the center on my 700. I run the 9" (8.5") Shaper Bars and the thing corners like a dream, and extremely stable. Go with the Shaper's, you will not be dissapointed. You'll be able to lead the "hustle". IMHO

With 144 studs I would run 8" carbides.

Thanks :beer2: I think I'll give the 8's a try.

I ran 8" Polaris carbides with 144 picks but had extreme darting. I consulted with Steve at Bergstrom and he advised going back to 6" but to use one of their heavy bars. It worked out really well, cornered hard and wore like iron. I also have heard good things about the Shaper Bars but the Bergstroms really worked well for me.

well, depends on riding style really.
But if your strong enough to torque the bars in the corners and like to hit it hard. Go with 60 degree 10" carbides. They hold up really well if you run fire lanes and hit dry spots. Only set back is being tired if your arms are not strong. I also noted the darting problem. You really need adjust your suspension for the traction products you use. Some people just add products and have bad results due to not adjusting for add ons. Go example would be the guy that adds a aftermarket exhaust and complains he lost power or seems not to run right. Well he probly never added weight to his clutch.
