I looked on vtvast.org for maps, but everything is like the city-level, nothing that I found shows the real local detail. Anybody know if such a map exists and how I could get my hands on it?

Local detailed maps are hard to find. Some Counties have their own maps that show all the secondary trails (Windsor, Caledonia and Essex come to mind) I am not sure if Bennington County has a map but the Woodford Snobusters may have a local map. Check the VAST site for a link to the club and the availability of a map.
I do not think you will be able to find one on the web and print it off. These maps represent a source of income to the Counties and the individual clubs.

Has VAST mailed out the maps yet? I sent them payment this past summer and yet to receive anything.

Well, they just cashed my check that i sent out 2 months ago so the maps should be sent out soon...

Essex Local Trail Map

This is the only one I know of.

Just going by past years, the maps are usually as a rule available when the TMA's are, they have run pretty close in the past anyway

I just got my TMA from the SnoBees.com via Pay Pal and they sent a note that said that the map I ordered would be mailed as soon as they were in. They always seem to run late and given the number of trail changes that have occurred lately they will probably not be totally accurate. Such is the life of the clubs involved as they try to keep things running.

My trail map came today! Now we need snow and the 20th of Dec.

We were glad to hear at the last Caledonia Cty meeting that the VAST maps were done and we heading out soon. That is great news since last time the maps came out halfway through the season.
