I was eating Canadian Bacon Pizza last night and it got me thinking, What do you call it in canada? Do you refer to our Canadian Bacon as your Bacon, and our Bacon as your American Bacon??

badcat is correct, Canadian bacon is back bacon (or pemeal bacon). Other bacon is just bacon. And no we don't call it American bacon.

What's the deal with americans and "canadian bacon"? We do call it back bacon, but it isn't generally that popular up here, at least not where I've lived. We just eat lots of normal bacon.

Ok, Canadian bacon. peameal bacon or back bacon are all the same thing (come off the back of the pig) The bacon most people eat is side bacon and surprise it comes off the side of the pig. In the U.S. they seem to call sliced ham Canadian Bacon eg. Mc donalds calls that slice of whatever it is on an egg mc muffin, canadian bacon, however it is not even close, it is some processed shit. Now as for grits they are white corn meal boiled and have zero taste, yet will taste like whatever you put on them ,most people just put butter on them. I think they might taste good with bacon fat on them, fat from what kind of bacon you ask? Well I will leave that up to you.

"canadian bacon" is made from the pork loin (not the tenderloin). It is smoked with a maple hence the canadian label. I smoked some myself and it is pretty good. Not a bad deal.

Grits suck. That is made for southern rednecks with no teeth. They sell some of it in Maine since most of them don't have any teeth either.

Well, I know there is some stuff going on east-verses west Canada. Let me put it to you this way. You have a great country with awesome fishing and hunting. Hope you all can get along. I like all Canadians even though people in Quebec don't like us too much. I am trying to learn french so my visits up there can go better.
