We got a dusting of snow here tonight. Cam out after work and everything was white :fluffy: Had to get out the snow brush to clean my truck off.
Just wondering if any northern N.S. people got any, or more than we did. About a cm here. Not enough to last but still got me going when I came outside after work. :beer2:

Nope not yet, but with the ground white hear I might just call the boys and tell them to get it out of the crate and put it together.

Chafe; I usually got sledding in mid December. The highlands in Cape Breton are going usually really soon. Like cbrevver said, November 11th last year! I might go up there some time in the near future myself.

Currently we have 3 or more inches of snow, heavy snowfall warning, 20-30cm. So 9-12" or there 'bouts. Tested out the RC polaris', but the real sleds are still in the garage. If we get 12" though they won't be in there for long.

AHH MAN, we got nothing but rain here !!! What the #&!% are you guys waiting for with 12 inches of snow, get at it !!! I'd have 100 Km's just riding the town streets by now ! Show us some pics to make us jealous too !!!

Nov 14 2004, 08:36 AM
We got 35+cm here, the only thing about driving around the streets here is the old thing that lives up the road calls the cops every time we fart.(Happened with last years first snowfall) Now they have a law in town that if your caught driving an atv or sled on town property its a big fine. I was gonna take the remote control sled up and drive on her front lawn but thought i better leave her alone.

Call the cops all they want, no car or truck that they have is gonna keep up to a sled on snow ! We play with the cops around here; by the time they get to where they see us, we do the loop and come at them from the back. They usually give up after a while; where they get the idea that they can catch a sled on a foot or two of snow with their SUV's is beyond me !!!

Nov 14 2004, 12:18 PM
but a cop lives two houses down, so they know where we live. They call our house, they are just doing their job, but I wish they'd do it somewhere's else, like look after a real crime, such as a robbery.

" ns503, you can't tell me that you never rode the streets before and had the cops give you a hard time about it. There's no vehicles mobile on the streets during a snowstorm, no harm done at all, and who knows, you might help a stranded motorist. The thing is that the cops around here have nothing better to do, just like Doo-Rider said.

WE got 15 cm of the white stuff here in Moncton, NB yesterday

. I don't imagine it will stay long though, plus 2 or 3 most of the week. I believe some parts of Northeren NB have 50 cm down now, which is only a couple hour drive from here. I know people were sledding there last week and they must have got more snow yestereday. Well, hopefully I will get a ride in next weekend! :beerchug:

Well, no, I never have. Maybe it was my sheltered life out in the toolies here, and I'm missing out on something. I just think that everyone except the guys out playing tag with the cops would find something bad to say about it, and bad publicity is something we all don't need, what with all the OHV stuff going on and us for the most part at the mercy of private landowners.

I went down the back road to Walmart in White jaun, but that was different. Also in those conditions everybody (almost everybody....) was inmobile.
I agree, we need positive images right now because of what is going on with the anti-recreational vehicle laws. Some are good, just some........
About the snow, I'd say half of it is gone. Last night I was told Belmont mountain had real close to 2 feet, and some drifting. A little colder and lighter snow up there.

Well I defogged mine just a few minutes ago. What a bunch of smoke! I stink now, and the garage still is clearing out. Had it across the yard, but here the snow is melting real quick.
Sutherland's Lake got snowed in, 2 feet. Roads weren't plowed up there as of this morning. I got today off, wouldn't mind taking a drive up........................
I hope enough of this stays to give us a head start on a base. It was real packy, so if it turns cold it would make an awesome base, and it's only November!
I was also on MSN today and we made the front page! N.S without power, left in the dark. :augen41: Or something like that. We're in the big leagues now :celebrating:

JEEEZZ, It's nice to be back! A foot of snow in my yard, at least 2 feet on Mt. Thom and Dalhousie Mountain. No power for 28 hours, sucks! Thanks to my boat batteries and an inverter I saw the race on Sunday anyway. When the power came on I lost my high-speed modem AUGH! Finally back in buisness and can't wait till the weekend. The mountain looks real good. I'll have more info and a trail report on the website after Thursday's meeting so anyone wanting to come this way check it out.
