Working on my buddys sled and he wants a clutch kit, it the 04 pro xr 800 the orange one with SLP single, slp air horn kit a, and v-force reeds. Should I go and buy a complet kit from someone or put to gether my own? If you got a setup that will work let me know.

Bert - use caution when people suggest a set up. Your sled is very different than any other 800 as you probably know...this all effects the clutching

The heavier, deeper lug track prevents you from using a setup as aggressive as a sled with a 1" track like a regular ProX. Kits are usually a compromise. They are designed to work over a range of conditions. Depending on what type of riding you'll be doing and the preferences you have for how you want the sled to respond dictates your exact setup.

what nut said...
personally i'd stay away from the slp reccomendations... they tend to be VERY conservative on clutching/jetting requirements...
if you want it done right you will either have to do it yourself or get a real performance shop to dial it in for you... not some prepackaged kit, most of those work ok, but there is always a better setup out there if you spend the time on it...
