This weekend my friend started doing PM on his 01 MXZ 800 and found that his pipe was split right where the pipe goes into the Y. I was wondering if you guys had and experience with which aftermarket pipe would be the best for his sled. Me being a Polaris guy I couldn't help him with who would make the best Ski Doo pipes. Any info would be appreciated.

If it is on the manifold..which is what it sounds like because you say at the Y..then just get it welded..

That was the logical thing to do but the pipe must have split earlier last year and there isn't much metal left to weld too. He could add some sheet metal but now your messing with performance, he doesn't care about buying a new one since now he has a reason to pass it through the wife......he "needs" it!
