I am planning a big loop this year. We love to sled but is Thessalon to WAWA too far for a day ? I have never done the SS Marie - WAWA run and wanted to try it. How fast and what is the terrain like. Also what are the trails like around Thesalon going into SS Marie like ?. any help would be appreciated. Any suggested hotels near Thesalon ?

corolyn beach hotel in thesalon good place ,lots of parking,190 miles to wawa gas could be a problem.gas was left by hotel owner in wawa 1/2 way costed into room in wawa great deal. slow wilderness trails not grommed at all times but low traffic check map for fuel or phone wawa hotels

there is gas between searchmont and wawa at a place called halfway haven. I don't have a number, but uit should be on the local map. I would call ahed to be sure cause you're screwed if they aren't open. It's well over 100 miles from searchmont to wawa.

SSM to wawa is hit and miss as far as trail conditions are concerned. Very doable in a day gassing up in searchmont and halfway heaven. Got to halfway at 9 bells and fuel and food were not a problem. prices are retarded but you have no choice. People are great. :div20:
