Hey all, I've been in this area (Port Hawkesbury) for about 9 months now, and have a chance to get my Sled over here from Newfie-land  . Wanted to know if it was worth it first. I don't have a trailer, so wanted to know if I could get to the trail from my apartment without running too many roads.

Any help would be great...and ASAP (sled will coming Wed. if I get it brought over).

A site where I could download it would be great.

Thanks all,

Mike :beerchug:

Hey Mike...

I just moved here (Halifax) myself 8 months ago from NL and we brought our (me and da wife) sleds with us. I have been talking to a few people in the area and they say the sledding is pretty good up here. I know that I will have to trailer our sleds about 30 minutes at least to get a decent ride, but I think that where you are it should be good going.

I'm sure a few people will respond to you on this forum and give you good info.

Maybe we will meet on the trails someday.

Thanks chafe...I have heard it was good going here. But all in all, think I'm going to leave my sled in Newfoundland for now...may get it brought down later in the year.

Hi, never meet up yet but i live near the trail in town and you can leave it in my
back yard if you want. All I do for the most part is cross the street and on the power line,
If we keep getting winters like we have you will have no problem .....
I will get a map next Tue. at the club meeting.

Thanks Caper711cc, I would love a trail map...but I think my sled will be staying in NF for now. May just rent a sled two or three times this winter. Have to hook-up for a run! Wanted my sled in NF for the .A-Rama anyway. have been planing to go for awhile now (missed it last year).

Thanks again,

Mike

If you know where the Canadian Tire Gas Bar is, you can get on the trail there. You can go right up to the highlands from there. We usually do the loop though, up to Inverness , over to Whycogamagh and back to Hawkesbury.

Quicker to trailer right to the Highlands.

I couldn't have my sled in another province all winter. :augen41:

I'd really like to have the most current one too.

Where can I get one?

Any Club members know where?
