Can anyone help with some first hand knowledge about the trails around Lac Etchemin northeast / south / and East of there? Specifically 55 and the trails looping back? We are a band of 4 very worried snowmobilers that need to find some decent trails and I can't take the time (hours) to get to Mount Valin or Clova / Parent ...... Keep in mind this will be Sunday --> Thr. riding. We are scheduled to go to Greenville, ME but we want don't want to hump our sleds onto trailers everyday to get some riding in. We want to ride from our door so to speak. HELP!!!! Merci.

We rode Feb 28- Mar 2. Jackman ME up to Lac Etchemin. We went on to Montmagny, RDL and to Rimouski. Plenty of snow and trails were very good. Was getting warm during the day and elevation made all the difference in the consistency of the snow. I do think it is supposed to get colder. The groomers are out. Snow was very thin in town in Rimouski. We did 5 all the way and it was great. The club trails are your best bet East as trail is closed at St George. 75, 5, 55, 541, 591 were all good (I think those are the trail numbers). We did 900 miles in 3 1/2 days and had maybe 30 miles of bad trails. I would not hesitate to go. Good Luck!

Just got back from a similar trip. All of the trails to the NE of St. George were great. Plenty of snow and grooming. Get up there while it lasts.
