I just wanted to post my results from a long day of testing on white lk today..I got the chance to run on OSP timers today with great results...I started out the day by running a couple different weight set-ups and different ways to launch it to try and get the most of out of the stock turbo...here are my results...i first ran the same set up that i ran on anchor bay last sunday..with a time of 5.88 with a 1.46 60 ft ..but sled seem alittle sluggish...i was trying to load the motor really hard out of the gate...example would hit 7600 and then start to climb up to 7720 at end of track...Thats pulling 114 grams of weight using the T2 weights from D@D.... But didnt seem real happy,,,,So i decided to pull out some tip weight and try it again..results were much better..I ran 5.80 with a 1.39 60ft... it hit 7680 out of the hole then climbed to 7800 on top end...well i pulled out more weight and tried it again...results.... i ran 5.77 and had a 1.33 60ft ...well we decided to run it back to back with it running 5.74-5.76 and 60ft was near the same 1.32-1.33... thats hitting 7700 out of the hole and climbing to 7900 on top end ...so then we made some more weights changes and boosted it harder on starting line...results....1.29 60ft and ran 5.67...... My sled just liked to rev higher then i ever thought... The testing was on a rough and seriously grooved up starting line and two huge bumps in the track...but it is what it is...Im very pleased to say the least... Im glad i had a chance to run on the timers today....I learned alot about my sled that i would of never known....I just wished we would of had more time today because with a few more adjustments and a better ice surface to run on this sled i believe will run in the high 5.5s....Remember this is a full body z1t...No light weight parts at all...stock suspension and all...just slammed with a speed track and chisels...Most important it still has STOCK TURBO....This is just to give everybody an idea how these sleds can run on timers if you tweek the mess out of them....Alot of people throw around 5.30-5.50 like its real easy...Well im hear to tell you ITS NOT.....LOL...THese are REAL LIFE RESULTS.....ATLEAST NOW I REALLY KNOW WHAT IT RUNS.....INSTEAD OF GUESSING...FOR A SLED THAT I RIDE IN THE TRAILS ,,,,,ITS PRETTY DAMN FAST.....

Thankx,,,it was a real long day on the ice....i was froze out...lol...but well worth it...if i get a chance to test again i believe i can get another tenth out of it...the track was absolutely horrible but it is what it is...and i have a couple more ideas to pick up some more E.T...but never know till you run it on timers again...no more guessing ..lololol

Assuming 950LBS (sled, fuel, driver, gear am I close?) it takes about 270 real HP to get that 5.67 in 660 ft close as I can figure. If that is correct I am going to say you are close to the end with the stock turbo. Pretty easy for a guy to set a hijacker to to 280HP and claim that what he has. Doing it is another deal all together. Good job. Hope to see it run Sunday at Anchor Bay!

Well i havent weighed it yet,,,but according to Glen Hall he has weighed his at a race last year...over the scales and full stock trim with him on it and 3 bars of fuel on the gauge it weighed 835lbs....so that being correct then im making more then 270 hp...not sure what its making but it hauls ass for a stock turbo...

A 5.76 @ 835 lbs would be about 239HP that is still huge power for that peanut turbo.

Well it was 5.67 not 5.76....im diffently making more then 239 hp...Glen Hall and i spoke this morning and figured it was making real close to 300 hp....

Greg, whatever you do, do not misunderstand my post. It is not negative in any way. Your sled flat out flies. I just did the math on how much power it takes to accelerate a given weight over 660ft in a given time (I used the right time, I just fat fingered it here) maybe I am wrong, maybe I need to change the way I figure it? Don't know unless we get a dyno number. Either way I am amazed we can make this much power from the stock turbo. Great work, you are way ahead of most of the rest of us.

I figured you must of messed the numbers up...Im not really sure how Glen figures the math but he said it makes real close to 300hp...

Not going off the "math". I think full throttle's math may be based off car "formulas". I think things are a lot different for sleds with their tracks and clutches and all. I don't have a formula, but I have a pretty good idea what it takes to run a 4.38 split at 800+ lbs with only one day of testing, and its a lot more than 239hp at the crank. Fast improved stock 1000's run those kind of splits with 275+hp at 775lbs after weeks of testing.

Very impressive times for a heavy sled with just bolt ons. Should run real close to my mild motored(220 hp) prostocker. Sounds like you've got it leaving pretty good now. That's going to be the whole key to turning a good time with your combination. Practice that 60'! The rest is easy.

I'm sure it's one of if not the best high speed groomed trail sled out there, but after too many close calls with deer at high speed I don't cruise at 80 or 90 mph like I used to. And I ride alot more offtrail now days too and my lightened ZR9 is bad enough to dig out....but if I ever hit the lotto there will be a hijacked EXT in my trailer.

Those are real good numbers, considering, a full blown 2871 big turbo Z1 T, stripped down for racing with suspension speed track, etc and they stated the best time they got was 5.52. They just ran Goldchilds race up in VT and came in 1st in the twin power adder class. You got yours flying for sure!!

Great numbers for a trail sled .I wanted to put a speed track on this year but never got a chance .I could tell these sleds had alot of 660 ice potential by my asphalt numbers with real tall gears and less traction than ice . Good job
