You would miss the show just because the big 4 won't be there? You mean the four manufacturers whose sleds can be read about in any mag printed. I suppose if you early ordered one and wanted to actually sit on it you might be a little disapointed. I think just picking up the maps is worth the drive in. Personaly, I could care less,it's just like walking thru their brochure. If you are interested in seeing a show and don't mind a little drive, check out Hay Days next September. There is nothing on Earth dealing with sleds that even compares. Think of the biggest show you could ever imagine and multiply it by six. And EVERY manufacturer of everything is there. From mountain extreme to factory stock.
What the heck if you do go down, come back with a post and let us know how it is for next year.

The local dealers will have a good supply of new sleds there. You won't even know its not the factory displays. I will be there.

I guess you don't need the maps. I can't see many of the Ontario clubs handing out maps @ Novi.
I'll be helping out a bit @ the Snowtrax booth on Saturday.

im contimplating going tonight, want to see the custom sled show and royal, anyway there is 10 or 11 ontario booths scheduled for the novi show and i have a ton of maps, but still may go to see how it is. Other than that the novi show is 204,000 square feet and is by numbers the biggest in the world, were heading there also, i heard it is a amazing show.

I'm not sure what the mess-ups were last year, but I went this year and it seemed like all of the manufacturers were covered quite well (even if it was by dealers).
I saw a couple of prototypes for sleds that have since gone into production or will be within the next little while, including the Ski Doo Mach Z 1000 which looks like it has the potential to be a pretty serious and well-rounded machine.
Personally, I was happy with the Toronto Show this year and I'll be back next year. In all fairness, there weren't the great deals I would've hoped for in terms of sledding mechandise, just more like the dealers and stores brought their regular shop (and regular prices) to a single venue. I'd like to see some more show specials to encourage sales.
Oh yeah, I grabbed a 2003 Zeus Modular Helmet w/ heated mask for $206.96 taxes in. Not a bad deal in my books.

Novi was quite a bit better in my opinion as they're are tons of really good deals, but the manufacturer displays weren't as good as the toronto ones used to be back in 1998 -2000, but they had a wide variety of sleds, every new sled was there, zr9, mach z, vector, fusion, fusion sno pro 440, and many yamaha rxi racers, grass, asphalt and ice, it was overall an awsome show. Toronto last year was just a big mess, two locations, just wasnt enjoyable.

There was a split between the Lesters & Kehoes who had put on the ORIGINAL show which was started in Markham then moved to the Int'l. Center. The Kehoes kept the Int'l show & Ontario Snowmobiler Magazine.
The Lesters kept Supertrax magazine & started up & scheduled the Supertrax show the same weekend down the road @ the Congress center w/ the OEMs present. From what I heard the exhibits weren't that great.
